Fans Attending Gamescom Have Access to 72 Final Fantasy VII Remake Stations

Square Enix fans heading to Cologne, Germany, for Gamescom will be happy to know that the company confirmed the upcoming Final Fantasy VII will be playable for the first time in Europe at Gamescom 2019. Gamescom runs from Tuesday, August 20th until Saturday, August 24th. Square Enix posted on twitter to share the news that the Final Fantasy VII Remake will be prominently featured with 72 stations at their showroom floor booth. As of now, Square Enix is releasing Final Fantasy VII Remake exclusively on PS4 and PS5.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake

Square Enix fans are highly anticipating the release of Final Fantasy VII Remake and it’s likely these booths will be busy at Gamescom 2019 with the looming March 3rd, 2020 release date. It was recently stated that this remake will be Playstation exclusive but we can’t help but hope a broader audience gets access considering what a gem Final Fantasy VII is. Previously the FFVII Remake was playable at E3 2019 but Gamescom is the first opportunity for the European market to test the game out before it releases. Though it will be featured in 72 stations, we think 77 would’ve been more fitting.

In case you’re curious, this is what we thought of the original Final Fantasy VII when it was ported to Nintendo Switch recently. Though the Switch smooths a lot of initial issues with the game, it’s always remained a Final Fantasy fan favorite across over two decades with many fans hailing it as the series’ pinnacle. FFVII Remake has quite the collector edition that’s priced at $329.99 USD but it includes an intricately designed Daytona figure of Cloud riding a motorcycle so it’s obviously worth it to hardcore fans. The Standard and Deluxe Editions cost an easier to manage $59.99 and $79.99 USD respectively.
