Count Dooku Comes to Star Wars Battlefront II This Month

With Some Triple XP Weekends

In a new transmission to Clones and Separatists, DICE has revealed their next plan for Star Wars Battlefront II. The game shall receive new content, this month, via the new Darth Tyranus update.

As Star Wars familiars would guess, the Darth Tyranus update comes with Count Dooku as a playable hero. Detailed in a previous post, he will be voiced by none other than Clone Wars actor Corey Burton. The Separatists now have an extra boomstick with which to take out the clones. That’s all the content expected to arrive this month. Additional bonuses await players who log in and partake in some intergalactic warfare.

For the first time ever, Star Wars Battlefront II will offer triple XP to players who participate in Heroes and Villains and Hero Showdown. Bonuses take effect starting June 4th and will last through June 6th. More live events will follow in the next few weekends. January 11-13, triple XP will be reserved for Troopers in Blast and Strike. Down the line, January 18-20, Starfighter Assault and Hero Fighter XP will increase.

Events reach their climax with the arrival of Count Dooku on January 23. The Dark Lord of the Sith will join General Grievous and Obi-Wan Kenobi in the Clone Wars hero roster. Moreover, he will arrive with the alternate “Dark Ritual” appearance. You’re twice as likely to see him in Galactic Assault maps: “For all Galactic Assault maps, era-appropriate heroes will have their Battle Point costs reduced by 50%, while non-era heroes will be unavailable,” the transmission reads.

Will you be playing Star Wars Battlefront II this month? FYI: the game is currently available in the PlayStation Store for $7.49 (if you’re a PS Plus subscriber). The same is true of the Microsoft Store if you have a Gold membership.

Happy gaming.
