Ubisoft Tells Us Just A Tiny Bit More About Assassin’s Creed 3 Remaster

Assassin’s Creed 3 Comes to 4K

With Assassin’s Creed Odyssey on store shelves for almost a week now, it makes sense that Ubisoft would give us a bit more info on what to expect from arguably the biggest part of its Season Pass.

Assassin's Creed 3

Unfortunately none of that information included how the developer will modernize the game’s now-ancient mechanics discarded by its past two releases, but did note that they’re taking fan feedback into consideration, which I’m sure there’s no shortage of.

What Ubisoft did say however is that the new remaster will include new character models, a new “Physically Based Render light system,” along with more crowded and livelier environments. The developer is promising other visual upgrades including higher resolution textures, and it’ll be interesting to see how the team uses the power behind modern consoles to further enhance the game itself, which will also include the Assassin’s Creed Liberation spin-off, which takes place at the same time as 3. And of course, as previously revealed, both games will support 4K and HDR on PC, PS4 Pro and Xbox One X.

In other recent Assassin’s Creed news, Ubisoft is doing damage control following the implementation of microtransactions in Odyssey (apparently having missed the entire back end of 2017), and a DLC pack was available for the new title through Twitch Prime.
