Frostpunk Confirms Free Updates After Selling 250,000 Copies in Three Days

CEO Grzegorz Miechowski Confirms Plans for Expansions and Free Updates for Frostpunk

It seems the new RTS Frostpunk will be getting plenty of free updates, after selling a quarter of a million copies in a little under three days. CEO of 11 bit Studios, creator of Frostpunk, announce a load of new, free content will definitely be added.

After 11 bit Studios introduced us to misery with This War of MineFrostpunk brings us right back to the grimy world of post-apocalyptic survival. Thanks for Frostpunk’s overwhelming success over the past few days, it seems there’s going to be a load of new content on its way – including a potential sandbox/endless mode coming at some point in the future.

In a recent Steam update post for Frostpunk, 11 bit Studios wrote: “YES, we do plan to add more content. More complicated answer is: we have A LOT of ideas ourselves and we also listen to our community (that’s you!). We plan to polish some rough edges of the original game – you’re reporting some issues with difficulty balance, with minor bugs and such. We want to fix that! We also plan to add more modes and scenarios to the game. What are they going to be exactly? It’s too early to announce – but you should be excited. And yes – a sandbox/endless mode is on our mind as well.”

11 bit Studios is also for any fan-made ideas you may have for Frostpunk, and they’re welcoming those over on their social media pages.
