See How Furries and Humans Battle It out in a Mystical World
Here we are with more updates on the lively action-RPG by Enigami studio. Shiness: The Lightning Kingdom follows a band of curious misfits marooned on a mystical world near the brink; Floating islands, kingdoms at war, magic, and discovery await as you explore the world alongside loyal companions. Let’s take a look at the characters, shall we?”
A great cast of characters means plenty of banter, combat synchronization and, perhaps, greater stakes in Shiness. If the narrative is anywhere near as good as the combat looks, then this passion project may just hit it out of the park. Here is additional information on the characters:
- Chado – This daring young Waki dreams of travelling far beyond his home town Kimpao – and this desire quickly lands him in big trouble!
- Poky – A faithful friend to Chado, Poky has an incredible talent for engineering that makes up for his lack of courage.
- Rosalya – Shy but loyal to the party, Rosalya has a powerful affinity with fire and is on the search for a mysterious truth.
- Askel – A formidable young mercenary, the enigmatic Askel already has a far-reaching reputation in Mahera.
- Kayenne – A strong, natural born leader, Kayenne remains calm in even the most difficult situations.
Although it was designed with a beautiful world and compelling adventure in mind, Shiness is fine-tuned when it comes to action. That’s what makes Enigami’s IP difficult to steer away from. Through what the studio calls “hyper-dynamic combat,” players get the most from five playable characters, despite a 1v1 classic style. Assume direct control of any character and use the rest of their abilities from the sidelines, then tag out as you see fit.
Additionally, in true RPG fashion, every character comes with unique abilities and personalities. How they deal with puzzles and obstacles will reflect said personalities. Hence, even outside of combat, characters fulfill their own dialogue and actions when interacting with the world.
See more when Shiness: The Lightning Kingdom releases for Xbox One, PC, and PS4 on April 21. Let us know your thoughts on the latest trailer and how you feel about the characters so far. Are you looking forward to party exploration and combat?
