Seattle Sounders Xbox Gears of War 4 Jerseys Look Great!
Earlier this week, we posted a couple of fantastic interviews. One with Gears of War 4 studio head, Rod Fergusson and one with Matt Searcy who is the Lead Campaign Designer on Gears of War 4. We also posted a multiplayer preview from the Gears of War 4 event we attended a week and half ago. The Gears marketing department at Microsoft hasn’t stopped there as today we learned the Seattle Sounders, a professional soccer team sponsored by Microsoft, will wear Gears of War 4-themed jerseys during its match-up against the LA Galaxy this weekend.
The Seattle Sounders will be wearing the jerseys for Sunday’s road match at the LA Galaxy (1:00 p.m. PT), as well as the 2016 MLS regular-season finale on Sunday, October 23 against Real Salt Lake.The team’s Twitter account posted the image yesterday:

Pretty sweet looking jerseys, right. This isn’t the first time the Seattle Sounders have worn video game themed jerseys around a Microsoft game, as the team wore Halo 5: Guardians jerseys last year. Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen is one of the club’s owners, so it comes as no surprise the team does this. It probably boosts sales significantly as well. If you are interested in purchasing one, you have to wait.
“For the second-straight year, we’ve worked closely with Xbox to alter the primary partner mark on the front of our jerseys and create a fun, engaging initiative,” said Sounders FC Owner Adrian Hanauer. “We always enjoy collaborating with Xbox to find the best ways to integrate our brands together, and we’re excited to have another limited edition jersey to commemorate this campaign for fans of Sounders FC and Gears of War.”
Those that attend Seattle’s regular-season finale on Oct. 23 also have the chance to partake in some on-site gaming, with fans able to play Gears of War 4 at CenturyLink Field in addition to other matchday activations surrounding the team’s Fan Appreciation Match. Fans can also bring in their Pacific Blue jerseys to The Pro Shop at CenturyLink Field on Oct. 23 to have their jersey embellished with the Gears 4 mark (only available Oct. 23 at The Pro Shop at CenturyLink Field; limited availability; as supplies last).
Available for purchase on Oct. 11 exclusively on Xbox One and Windows 10, Gears of War 4 is the beginning of an epic new saga for one of the most celebrated video game franchises that helped redefine console shooters.
