Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Trilogy Coming to Nintendo Switch

Sadly, the Trilogy Has Only Been Announced for Japan so Far.

The first three Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm games will be coming to Nintendo Switch, thanks to an announcement in the weekly Japanese magazine Shonen Jump, which was translated by Gematsu.

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm

The original trilogy first made its appearance on the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360, before being remade for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One as a Legacy version, which came with improvements to the trilogy’s graphics and the resolution, as well as having the fourth instalment bundled in with it.

The Nintendo Switch bundle will include Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm, Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 2, and Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3. It will also include all the released DLC for the three titles. Currently, it has only been announced for a Japanese release.

Just for reference, this bundle will not be the Legacy pack. This collection will only include these first three games, as the fourth one will not be included in the bundle, nor has the fourth title been announced for any kind of a Switch release.

Here’s what players who have never played an Ultimate Ninja Storm game should be expecting:

NARUTO: Ultimate Ninja STORM allows players to battle in full 3D across massive environments. Players will unleash powerful jutsu attacks, perform acrobatic evasive maneuvers and even run up walls and over water as they pursue their opponent for ninja supremacy. Players will be able to customize their character’s fighting style and recruit up to two support characters to put their own stamp on the action.

As of time of writing, no release date has been announced, nor has there been any word on a global release, but seeing as how most every Naruto game eventually finds its way over to the west, there will likely be a follow-up announcement at some point in the future.
