Wargroove Video Review
Wargroove is a long-awaited strategy game that manages to be both good and aesthetically pleasing (if you think that sounds easy, you’d be wrong: just ask the fans battling over Civ V versus Civ VI). While it took an extra couple of years to release thanks to the additional involvement of Chucklefish Studios, that time wasn’t wasted in developing a fun and challenging turn-based strategy experience, one that hearkens back to an older era of strategy games (but with newer graphics!). Check out our video review below to see the ins and outs of controlling Commanders on the battlefield!
Sure, the story might be a little generic, but tried and true doesn’t mean boring, right? Wargroove has more than enough to make up for a predictable story with narrative twists and unique gameplay that emphasizes the role of your Commanders. It’s also got both a single-player and multiplayer mode, which leaves room for tons of replayability in the future. As it turns out, this strategy game was definitely worth the wait (do you see what I did there?).
