We conclude our piece with a look at four of the best beards from some of gamings biggest villains. Evil always looks a bit more menacing when a beard is involved…
Salen Kotch – Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare
Winter came to the Call of Duty franchise in more ways than one with the release of Infinite Warfare. This futuristic Call of Duty game starred Game of Thrones actor Kit Harington as the menacing Salen Kotch, but that didn’t stop fans from giving this game a very cold reception. Fortunately, Kit’s chin was shielded from the cold thanks to his bad guy beard.
Kano – Mortal Kombat franchise
Look at this heartbreaker… eh, I mean heart-taker. In the recent Mortal Kombat games, we see the mercenary Kano rocking a full beard. He even adorned his beard with a ponytail. Now that’s a bloody facial-hair fatality!
Bitores Mendez – Resident Evil 4
One of the best Resident Evil games demanded one of the best bad guy beards in gaming. Makes you wonder if “Las Plagas” was Spanish for “lost razor”.
Ganondorf – The Legend of Zelda series
One of the most noticeable villains in gaming rocks one of the most noticeable beards in the universe, the Abe Lincoln. Sure, this jerk Ganondorf kidnapped the princess, stole the Triforce, and threatened to ruin the world – but you have to respect his beard game.
And that concludes our look at gaming’s best beards. Join us in celebrating World Beard Day by taking a moment to pop in one of the games listed above and show a little respect for these digital beards. Feel like you’re missing out on all the fun? Well, if you start today, maybe by this time next year, you’ll have finally grown a respectable beard that could go chin-to-chin with these video game greats. Did we miss any great gaming beards?
