Top 5 Video Games Arriving in September 2025
2025 has had great month after great month of video game releases. September is probably the most stacked in terms of sheer numbers of major titles. There are 4 runners-up this month, many of which are triple-A sports titles that will be amongst the top selling games of the year. They include: NBA 2K26, NHL 26, and EA Sports FC 26. All of these games could easily be in the Top 5 Video Games Arriving in September 2025, but we didn’t want to dominate this entire article with annual sports games. The other runner-up is The Legend of Heroes: Trails In The Sky 1st Chapter. It’s a remake of a beloved JRPG trapped on the PSP and PC until now. Without further ado, here are the Top 5 Video Games Arriving in September 2025:

5. Cronos: The New Dawn – September 5
Cronos: The New Dawn is a brand new third person survival horror game from Bloober Team, who developed the Silent Hill 2 remake. It was announced during the July 31 2025 Nintendo Direct, and is already coming out just over a month later. The Nintendo Direct made it look like Cronos: The New Dawn would be a Switch 2 exclusive, but it will also be available for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. Bloober Team’s stock has gone way up since Silent Hill 2 came out, making Cronos: The New Dawn an easy inclusion in the Top 5 Video Games Arriving in September 2025.
4. Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles – September 30
It took them decades, but Square-Enix is finally releasing a remaster of the PS1 classic Final Fantasy Tactics. For many North American players, this was the first strategy JRPG they ever played. Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles features the option to play with original and enhanced versions. It will have the War of the Lions PSP translation, as well as some restored visual novel content that has remained exclusive to the Japanese release. Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles is a very desired classic and obvious inclusion on Top 5 Video Games Arriving in September 2025. It will be available for all modern platforms except Xbox One.
