Top Games Arriving in November 2021
While not as crazy as October, there’s definitely something for everyone releasing over the next month. There’s even an Xbox exclusive in our Top 5! Things might be a little JRPG heavy, but that’s just the way I like it! Honorable mentions include the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remaster for the Switch, Battlefield 2042 for everything except the Switch, and Sherlock Holmes Chapter One, also for everything, except the Switch. KOTOR is a remake with only a few weeks of hype, which slightly edges it out of contention, and Battlefield lacks a single player campaign for the first time ever. While Frogwares’ Sherlock Holmes isn’t the most famous franchise ever, the open-world prequel has been trending heavily on COGconnected. What could be a bigger deal than a game with Battlefield’s budget behind it!? Read on true believers!
5. Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker – November 23
Coming in at number five, Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker is the fourth expansion the beloved Final Fantasy MMO that keeps getting better and better. There’s a lot of hype behind this one, not only because it was delayed due to COVID-19, but also because it’s going to be the conclusion to the Hydaelyn-Zodiark arc. The only reason it doesn’t rank higher on our list is because it’s an expansion to an already existing game. For anyone who’s purchased the Final Fantasy XIV: Complete Edition, it’s not gonna cost you anything, and for new players, Endwalker can be purchased as a stand-alone title. It’s gonna be available for PS4, PS5, Steam, and Mac users.
4. Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl – November 19
Our fourth spot goes to another long-standing JRPG franchise, Pokemon. Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are remakes of 2006’s DS-exclusives, Diamond and Pearl. Although Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are going to be of similar quality to other Pokemon remakes, this time they will be presented with an isometric perspective. The only reason this mega-franchise doesn’t rank higher on our list is that the games are remakes, and because it’s still kind of evil that Pokemon games involve two releases (that’s right, I said it). Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl will be available exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
