Top 5 Video Games Arriving in February 2025
February 2025 is great month for video game releases, but, to be honest, it doesn’t seem as crazy as the last few Februarys. They were some of the best months of the last few years, which were all phenomenal years in terms of quality games. February 2025’s major games are all RPGs, but within the genre there’s a breadth of subgenres. Our runner-up this month is the JRPG The Legend of Heroes: Trails Through Daybreak II. It’s a game that’s been out in Japan since 2022, and marks North America finally catching up with the series’ release schedule. 5. Kingdom Come: Deliverance II – February 4
Kingdom Come: Deliverance sold massively well over time. It’s a first-person CRPG that took the gameplay formula of The Elder Scrolls series, and featured a historically accurate 15th century setting. Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is the continuation and conclusion of protagonist Henry’s story from the original. This sequel has been in development for 5 years, so hopefully it won’t just be more of the same. Kingdom Come: Deliverance II will be available for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
4. Avowed – February 18
Avowed in an action CRPG spin-off of the Pillars of Eternity series. It’s the latest RPG from Obsidian, who also developed genre classics such as Fallout: New Vegas, South Park: The Stick of Truth, and Pentiment. Similarly to Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, Avowed’s gameplay is heavily inspired by The Elder Scrolls. We ranked Avowed above Kingdom Come: Deliverance II because the Pillars of Eternity games reviewed much better than Kingdom Come Deliverance. Avowed will be available for Xbox Series X/S and PC.
