Top 5 Video Games Arriving in December 2025
Although November 2025 was a slower November than usual for video game releases, December 2025 is actually pretty crazy. There are a few huge games coming out in the first couple weeks. Then, as usual, December is dead in the last couple weeks, for Christmas reasons. Our runner-up this month is the often-delayed Terminator 2D: No Fate. Normally we wouldn’t feature this retro run-and-gun again, but it is one of December’s biggest releases (if it finally comes out). Without further ado, here are the Top 5 Video Games Arriving in December 2025:
5. Yakuza 0/ Yakuza Kiwami/ Yakuza Kiwami 2 – December 8
The first three (chronological) Like a Dragon games are already available for PS4. But Yakuza 0: Director’s Cut has been a Switch 2 exclusive for the last six months. On the same day as Yakuza 0: Director’s Cut, Sega is also releasing PS5 versions of Yakuza Kiwami 1 and 2. Physical collectors should be excited for these action JRPGs. The combo pack of Kiwami 1 and 2 is the same low price as Yakuza 0: Director’s Cut. No doubt these are timed to get series fans excited for 2026’s early release of Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties. Normally we wouldn’t put a collection of recent remasters in an article like the Top 5 Video Games Arriving in December 2025, but it’s a slower month.
4. Elden Ring: Nightreign – The Forsaken Hollows DLC – December 4
Normally we wouldn’t include DLC on a list like the Top 5 Video Games Arriving in December 2025, but this one is a major one. Elden Ring: Nightreign – The Forsaken Hollows was just announced this month. It’s hard to deny the immense popularity of Elden Ring. The Forsaken Hollows promises two new Nightfarers, two new bosses, and one new shifting earth. This multiplayer action RPG DLC will be available for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
