3 Up, 3 Down – November 2025
November 2025 was slower than the average November. Most of the games in this article flew under the radar. But the highest scoring game of the month was also the biggest release of the month. Don’t sleep on Anno 117: Pax Romana. It’s a city building RTS that we gave 89/100. Without further ado, here are The Three Best (and Worst) Video Games November 2025:
The Good
ARC Raiders

ARC Raiders is a third person shooter. It takes place in a near future where soldiers battle robots. The gameplay is very polished, and there’s lots of variety for every shooter fan. Our reviewer concluded that ARC Raiders has a “confident and coherent mashup of systems and a simple, addictive loop”. Shooter fans looking for something new should absolutely take note. But ARC Raiders isn’t the only shooter in The Good section of The Three Best (and Worst) Video Games November 2025…
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is the best Call of Duty game in many years. It has tons of content right out of the gate, including 18 multiplayer maps. Our reviewer loved the campaign, particularly the Endgame portion. They also singled-out “a fully realized Zombies mode that’s arguably the best Zombies at launch it’s ever been”. The game has some performance issues, so it’s a testament to how good it is that Call of Duty Black Ops 7 still scored 90/100. It’s easily the biggest release in The Three Best (and Worst) Video Games November 2025.
Lumines Arise

Lumines Arise is the latest game in the long-running Lumines puzzle game series. The core gameplay involves clearing blocks by forming 2×2 patterns of matching colors. Making 3×3 or larger clusters boosts the player’s score, clears more space, and opens new opportunities. Our reviewer wrote “the integration of visuals, gameplay and sound is phenomenal, creating a wonderfully addictive puzzler”.
