Every month in 2024 has been fantastic for video game releases. April also looks like it’s going to be fantastic, but it’s a little niche. All the major releases are from Japan! And that’s totally fine. April actually features a couple developers making major comebacks in the West. Our runner-up this month is TopSpin 2K25, which has got the be the biggest tennis game of 2024. Without further ado, the Top 5 Video Games Arriving in April 2024 are:
5. Braid: Anniversary Edition – April 30
The first game on the Top 5 Video Games Arriving in April 2024 is a remaster of a PS3 era classic. Braid is a 2D platformer that heavily uses rewind mechanics. It has an unconventional twist narrative that left a massive impact on players at the time. Braid is remembered as one of the major titles that kickstarted the modern indie development boom. Braid: Anniversary Edition will be available on all consoles and PC.
4. Megaton Musashi: Wired – April 25
Level 5 is back! The Japanese developer that brought us classic series like Ni No Kuni, Professor Layton, and Yo-Kai Watch hasn’t released a game in North America since 2018. That’s changing this month with Megaton: Musashi: Wired. This is an enhanced version of a mech action JRPG, originally released in Japan in 2021. Hopefully this is the beginning of a major Level 5 comeback! It will be available for everything except Xbox.
