3. Sand Land – April 26
Sand Land is the second mech action JRPG on our Top 5 Video Games Arriving in April 2024. It’s based on a manga/ anime by Akira Toriyama, who unexpectedly passed away recently. The anime is still airing, and has been getting rave reviews. This video game adaptation will allow players to use different vehicles as they explore the desert environment from the manga. The art style in the game perfectly captures Toriyama’s signature style, know to video game fans of Dragon Ball, Dragon Quest, Chrono Trigger, etc. Sand land will be available for everything except the Switch.
2. Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes – April 23
Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is one of the biggest video game Kickstarter successes ever. A team of former Konami employees, who created the Suikoden series, created Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes as a spiritual successor. The graphics have a gorgeous style reminiscent of the Golden Sun GameBoy Advance games. Sadly, the director, Yoshitaka Murayama recently passed away. Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes will be his swan song as a beloved video game developer. Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes will be available for all consoles and PC.
1. Stellar Blade – April 26
It was a tough call, but the #1 spot in COGconnected’s Top 5 Video Games Arriving in April 2024 is Stellar Blade. Stellar Blade was announced, with a crazy trailer, as Project Eve, back in 2019. It’s one of the games that got a lot people really excited for the PS5, back when nobody could find one. This Devil May Cry-inspired third person action game is finally releasing in April 2024, and some of us can barely contain our excitement! Stellar Blade will be a PS5 exclusive.
