7 – South Park: The Fractured But Whole – Coming October 17, 2017
In a gaming world that sometimes takes itself a bit too seriously, Trey Parker and Matt Stone’s South Park games are just the comedic break we need. And South Park: The Fractured But Whole, a sequel to The Stick of Truth, is shaping up to be another hilarious, fart-in-the-face send-up of not just RPGs and games, but our current world in general. I mean, it has a difficulty slider based on your character’s skin colour. Despite being delayed in its development, this game is definitely going to be worth the wait. Check out our own Hands-On Preview impressions here.
6 – Spider-Man – Coming 2018
Our entire COGconnected team was blown away by the reveal for this PS4 exclusive back at this year’s E3. Spider-Man‘s graphics, the rock-solid web-slinging combat, and a cool new narrative have us excited to suit up and visit the Big Apple when this game arrives. Our Spidey Senses are definitely tingling, and let’s hope Insomniac Games delivers on the impressive early buzz. In the meantime, check out our video below on why we’re so excited for this one.
5 – Detroit: Become Human – Coming 2018
The PS4 exclusives just keep on coming, with Detroit: Become Human generating a lot of excitement ahead of its planned 2018 launch. This neo-noir thriller is from Quantic Dream, who brought us the acclaimed Heavy Rain. Our own Shawn Petraschuk got his hands on the game at E3, and he thoroughly enjoyed the game’s gut-punching emotional impact and immersive narrative. We don’t have an exact release date yet, but you can be damn sure we’ll have our eyes on this one.
