Three Things You Need To Know About Resident Evil 0, Out This Tuesday

High Res Textures Created From Scratch

Resident Evil 0 features new high-resolution textures that have been created from scratch. This also includes 1080p support on current gen consoles. Resident Evil 0 preserves the classic appearance of the original while making it look updated and fresh. The 5.1 surround sound also promises to be a nice addition. Be sure to check back with us on Tuesday when our Resident Evil 0 review is live and we tell you how good the new visuals and sound really is.

Play Old School or With New Widescreen Mode and New Control Scheme

Resident Evil 0 allows you to relive this classic horror in either its original settings or modified to modern-day standards. You can play the game in the classic 4:3 ratio just like you did over 10-years ago or you can play in the newly added 16:9 widescreen mode. Resident Evil 0 allows you to play with the classic control scheme for all your purists out there or you can be like me enjoying the game with the new alternative scheme where the character moves in the direction of the analogue stick. Either way, having the option to play old school or with modern day controls is a nice option.

Resident Evil 0 releases digitally across North America starting January 19, 2016 on PC (Steam), Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360 and PS3. Resident Evil Origins Collection, a physical version that collects the series’ origin stories, Resident Evil 0 and last year’s remaster of Resident Evil, will also be available for PS4 and Xbox One on the same date.
