3 Things I Love (and 3 Things I Don’t Love) About The Thrustmaster T.Flight Full Kit X

3 Things I Don’t Like About the Thrustmaster T.Flight Full Kit X

1. Lack of Share Button

Microsoft Flight Simulator is one of the most incredible-looking games I’ve ever played. As such, it stands to reason I want the ability to take screenshots as often as possible! Unfortunately, for some reason, Thrustmaster didn’t include the handy Share button that comes equipped on every Xbox Series X controller. In fact, just below the flight stick is the recognizable Xbox button, along with the Menu and View buttons, so it’s bizarre they didn’t take the extra step and include the Share button as well.

2. USB Cable is Too Short

While I’m incredibly impressed at how the entire T.Flight Full Kit X works with the use of just one USB cable, I’m more than a little annoyed at just how short that USB cable is. A measly 6 feet of USB cable stands between your T.Flight Full Kit X and the Xbox Series X. With TVs getting bigger and bigger, cables need to get longer and longer. Most wired controllers come with a 10 foot USB cable and even that isn’t ideal for many gamers. For me to enjoy the T.Flight Full Kit X, I need to bring a chair and TV tray into the gaming room and set it up just shy of 6 feet from my TV. Frustrating.

3. You’ll Still Need a Controller to Navigate Microsoft Flight Simulator

The worst part about the T.Flight Full Kit X is the fact that it doesn’t allow you to completely navigate Microsoft Flight Simulator. Once you’re actually flying, you can then use the T.Flight Full Kit X. The Microsoft Flight Simulator menus are already an unnecessarily difficult chore to navigate, but now forcing users to juggle between controller and flight stick is just silly. Hopefully, a future update will address not only the Flight Simulator menus, but also allow for the flight stick to navigate the menus.

And that concludes our look at the 3 things I loved and 3 things I didn’t like about the Thrustmaster T.Flight Full Kit X. Despite my frustrations with the USB cable, controller requirements, and lack of Share button, this is a fantastic accessory and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who’s addicted to Microsoft Flight Simulator.
