Dead Island: Definitive Collection – Deep Silver – May 31 (Multiplatform)

Deep Silver does zombies right in the Dead Island: Definitive Collection which is why it earns a special mention in this month’s Big 5. Collecting both the original Dead Island and the sequel Dead Island: Riptide this is here to tide gamers over until Dead Island 2. Featuring new textures, models, and lighting effects, as well as general performance enhancements over their previous-gen counterparts, these two games will also include previously-released DLC, plus a fan favorite mod called Power Fists that will be available across all systems. Get your zombie fix in on May 31st.

INDIE SPOTLIGHT:

Neverending Nightmares – Infinitap Games – May 3 (PS4)

Originally released on the PC and the doomed Ouya console, Neverending Nightmares brings its unique horror gameplay to the PS4 on May 3rd. Matt Gilgenbach developed this game to not only shed light on mental illness as a whole but also as a means to work through his own struggles. The presentation of this indie gem is wholly unique, and we can promise you that you’ve never seen a game like this before. Animated in black, white and red it stands out in so many ways. Having an opportunity to interview Matt at E3 a couple years ago we know that he poured his heart and soul into the making of this game. Do yourself a favor if you own a PS4 and check this one out. You won’t be disappointed as this one earns its Big 5 Indie Spotlight in spades.
