Deathloop
The PC version of Deathloop has been suffering from crippling optimization issues, rendering the experience nigh unplayable. Even on some of the latest tech, Deathloop is melting computers. And if you think you can outrun its problems by hopping over to console, the game is being chewed up by players for its imprecise aiming, laughable AI, and hit-or-miss aesthetic. Quickly becoming one of the most divisive games this year, Deathloop has a long way to go before it can stand along with the greats of the genre.
Death Stranding: Director’s Cut
As bizarre as the original release of Death Stranding was, the ones that have ventured into the Director’s Cut have been left even more dumbfounded. Discontent with Kojima may be at an all-time high, as many have declared this newest version of Death Stranding to be a shameless cash grab. Plus, with a bevy of new items that take the walking out of this walking simulator, the Director’s Cut can be completed with a fraction of the effort. Sure, it looks beautiful, but did anyone genuinely need this?
Madden 22
You know it’s bad when a game that sits with a 68 on Metacritic is still overscored. But here we are with Madden 22. Another year, another incomplete for EA Sports, as fans of the franchise have flocked to Reddit, Discord, Twitter, and just about everywhere else you can think of to voice their hatred for Madden 22. Animations are lacking, franchise mode is a shell of what it used to be, and the number of bugs you’ll be picking out of your teeth before the first half will make you sick. I guess the 38th time’s a charm, right?
