Celebrate National Space Day With These Recently Released Space Related Games

Halo Wars 2

The sequel to one the Xbox 360’s best real-time strategy games! Halo Wars 2 earned rave reviews, featuring a story that fits perfectly in the Halo universe, but also completely contained for those who might be less than familiar with the epic franchise. You’ll be introduced to new UNSC crew, new villains, and even some new vehicle variants. Halow Wars 2 has a lot to offer, including a substantial single player campaign and a vast multiplayer mode. Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series (Episode 1)

While not tied together to the movie in any way, this Telltale adventure is one you won’t want to miss. You’ll undoubtedly recognize the diverse group of unlikely heroes – such as the incredibly strong Drax, the former assassin Gamora, the genius raccoon Rocket and the tree of few words Groot – all lead by the player-controlled Star-Lord. Oh, and the soundtrack is just as awesome as you’d expect. Give our review a look for even more reasons to pick up Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series!

Prey

Launching today, on this National Space Day, is the reboot of 2006’s Prey. This time you’ll follow the story of Morgan Yu while you explore the Talos 1 space station. Prey takes a number of gameplay concepts from Arkane’s “Dishonored” franchise – and that’s a very good thing. Intense first-person gameplay with some role-playing elements with a creepy atmosphere – sounds great to me! While we haven’t had a chance to review it yet, our recent preview saw a ton of potential in it.
