Driveclub Bikes
Evolution Studios’ Driveclub had some unfortunate launch issues that gave the PlayStation 4 exclusive a bad reputation, but all of that was fixed by the time the standalone Bikes expansion came out. This spin-off, which stars two-wheeled vehicles over their four-wheeled counterparts, has a completely separate campaign and is a blast to play. It even manages to outdo several bike-specific racers like RIDE.
Drive!Drive!Drive!
The humorously named Drive!Drive!Drive! throws racing conventions out the window as it has players controlling multiple cars at the same time. Players will have to constantly alternate between tracks, creating a racing game that’s unlike any other title. It’s highly challenging, but also one of the coolest indie games.
FAST RMX
While WipEout and F-Zero might be the most recognizable futuristic racers, Shin’en’s FAST RMX is a worthy competitor. The Nintendo Switch exclusive features challenging racing that’ll have players switching between boost pad types in order to fly past other drivers. It’s a great time for anyone who missed out on the original FAST Racing NEO on Wii U and offers online multiplayer.
