Reigns
I feel confident saying that the best $2.99 anyone couldโve spent on a video game last month was on Reigns. This iOS and PC title has players managing an entire kingdom through Tinder-style swipes, and is fun in short bursts. Discovering all of the characters (and in-game deaths) are all just part of the fun, and this is really something special.
Style Savvy: Fashion Forward
Itโs easy to dismiss Style Savvy: Fashion Forward as a blatant cash grab aimed at kids, but itโs actually a solid game. Not unlike Animal Crossing, it has a surprising amount of well-written dialogue that makes simple interactions become memorable. Thereโs also a staggering amount of things to do, ranging from putting on fashion shows to being a hair stylist. Pickings on the 3DS are slim right now, so give this a shot if you need something fun to play on your commute.
This Is The Police
Weappy Studioโs adventure game puts players in the shoes of Police Chief Jack Boyd in the final days of his tenure. With crime comes corruption, and players will have to make some important choices before Jack retires. An additional strategy element gives the game extra depth, as gamers will have to investigate crimes and manage police staff as well.
Transformers: Fall of Cybertron
Fall of Cybertron was a pretty big release in 2012, so it was surprising to see High Moon Studiosโ shooter just get unceremoniously thrown on the PlayStation and Xbox stores. If you havenโt played the Deadpool developerโs best work, then itโs worth picking up on current gen systems. Just donโt bother double dipping since it hasnโt been improved upon in a significant way.
