“Ripples” took my every criticism of “Hide and Seek’s” core experience and fixed it, focusing more on The Council’s incredible dialogue system than the puzzles of the manor. The real problem is in the game’s myriad technical issues, which seem to be growing in scope as each chapter releases.
Defiance 2050 tries to make an MMO mountain out of a cancelled TV show’s molehill, and while there are some things to cheer the game ultimately falls a little flat.
20XX conjures a lot of feelings from yesteryear, bringing back the shoot-em-up platformers of old while adding new and interesting wrinkles to the formula. However, some of those wrinkles hinder the goal of creating a “classic” feel more than they foster it.

The Banner Saga comes to Nintendo Switch via a fantastic and faithful port, with its dire tale of survival and strategy completely intact. It plays well, it looks fantastic, and every battle and dialogue choice is here for the taking.
Runner3 is a old idea with a fresh coat of paint, but that idea still brings a lot of fun to the table. The challenge is real without seeming too difficult, despite being a bit monotonous. Runner3 is yet another terrific indie game that deserves everyone’s attention.
The Council Episode 2 – Hide and Seek begins to turn up the heat on the story, giving more insight into all of these characters, though it was over much too quickly.
Shantae: Half-Genie Hero makes new soup out of old ingredients, and while the game is definitely a fun romp we would have liked a little more originality in gameplay.
