SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance Gets Sega Villains DLC and Free Hardcore Update

SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance Continues to Expand

SEGA has rolled out a major content drop for SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance, bringing both a paid DLC and a free update to players across all platforms. The newly released SEGA Villains Stage DLC is now available on PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, and Nintendo Switch.

The DLC is included for those who purchased the Digital Deluxe Edition, while Standard Edition owners can access it separately or through an upgrade pack. This new content expands the game with a crossover twist, placing Joe Musashi against some of SEGA’s most iconic antagonists.

In this expansion, players will face off against the towering Death Adder from Golden Axe, the unpredictable Goro Majima from Like a Dragon, and the infamous Dr. Eggman from Sonic the Hedgehog. Each encounter unfolds across newly designed stages inspired by these classic franchises, giving the DLC a distinct visual and gameplay identity.

The SEGA Villains Stage DLC adds a solid amount of content, including five new stages, three boss fights, two Boss Rush modes, and additional customization options such as outfits, ninpo abilities, and music tracks. The variety helps refresh the experience while staying true to the core gameplay.

Alongside the paid content, SEGA has also released a free update for all players. This patch introduces a Hardcore Mode for those looking for a tougher challenge, along with combat adjustments and improvements to character outlines and in-game displays.

With both the DLC and update now live, SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance continues to expand its content while offering something new for both returning and new players. If you want to find out more about the game before diving in, then check out our official review right here!
