Wishlist Runic Curse Remastered Right Now
Indie developer Alexey Suslin has confirmed that Runic Curse Remastered will launch on Steam this summer, bringing a darker and more refined take on the metroidvania genre. Players can already wishlist the game on the platform to track updates as the release approaches.
Runic Curse Remastered drops players onto a mysterious, cursed island where danger lurks in every corner. The game blends action RPG mechanics with classic metroidvania exploration. It pushes players to move through a series of haunting environments filled with secrets, enemies, and powerful bosses. Each area introduces new challenges and rewards those who explore carefully.
The game’s dynamic combat system sits at the center of the experience. Players can actively shape their playstyle by combining different weapons with magical runes, creating flexible strategies for combat. The progression system supports this freedom, allowing players to level up, upgrade specific stats, and equip new gear. As well as unlock abilities that open paths to previously inaccessible areas.
The remastered version expands the experience with 10 large locations, over 55 spells, and deep rune crafting and upgrade systems. It also encourages replayability through an Unlimited New Game+ mode and a Boss Rush mode, giving players more ways to test their builds and skills.
