Minos Turns Greek Mythology Into a Deadly Puzzle Game This April

Slay the Heroes in Minos

Devolver Digital has officially confirmed that Minos, its upcoming labyrinth-building puzzle strategy game, will launch on April 9. Developed by Artifcer, the title reimagines Greek mythology by putting players in control of a living maze designed to defend the legendary Minotaur.

In Minos, players step into the role of a mastermind architect. They must shape a shifting labyrinth to protect Asterion, the cursed former king now known as the Minotaur. Rather than guiding a hero, the game flips expectations, casting invading adventurers as the threat. These so-called heroes enter the maze seeking fame, but it is up to players to ensure they never make it back out.

The core gameplay revolves around building and manipulating the labyrinth in real time. Players can drag and place walls, corridors, and gates to create intricate pathways. Whether crafting long, trap-filled routes or splitting intruders with rotating passages and shifting barriers, each decision directly influences the outcome. The maze itself is sentient, feeding on the blood of fallen adventurers, adding a darker edge to the strategy.

Each playthrough introduces new enemies, traps, and tactical possibilities, keeping every run unpredictable. As players progress, they uncover more about Asterion’s tragic transformation and the role of Daedalus, the brilliant mind behind the ever-changing labyrinth.

With its blend of strategy, puzzle mechanics, and mythological storytelling, Minos is shaping up to offer a fresh and clever twist on a classic tale when it arrives on April 9.
