Look Outside Invites Console Players Into Its Twisted World of Cosmic Horror

Endless Nightmares Await in Look Outside

Devolver Digital’s acclaimed survival horror RPG Look Outside is finally making its way beyond PC, as developer Francis Coulombe and publisher Devolver Digital have brought the unsettling adventure to PlayStation and Nintendo Switch consoles. Originally released on PC last year, the game is now available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2 for $9.99.

Since its PC debut, Look Outside has earned an Overwhelmingly Positive rating on Steam, with critics praising its disturbing atmosphere, grotesque creatures, and unforgettable horror experience. The game takes place inside a single apartment building, where a mysterious cosmic event has transformed the outside world into something truly terrifying.

Players must explore the building in search of food, supplies, and weapons while encountering strange characters and fighting horrifying creatures, many of whom were once their neighbors. Survival isn’t just about dealing with monsters, though, as players must also manage their resources and make important decisions along the way.

Between dangerous expeditions, players can return to their apartment to recover, prepare meals, craft useful tools, and spend time with the few allies they manage to find. There are even smaller activities, such as playing games, that offer a brief break from the constant tension surrounding them.

Look Outside doesn’t need a sprawling world to deliver nightmares; its apartment building is more than enough to keep players on edge. Now that the horror has reached consoles, there’s little reason not to step inside. Just make sure you never give in to the temptation to look outside.
