Explore Hell in Against Great Darkness
The indie game developer Hitreg Studios has finally released the official trailer of their upcoming title Against Great Darkness. The release window of the game is set for fall 2023. The demo version is also available on Steam for you to check out.
Against Great Darkness is an adrenaline-pumping, action-packed brick-breaker, bullet hell, roguelite game. The player controls a pagan deity trying to escape the clutches of Lucifer. He must fight his way through three circles of Hell, battling demonic entities and bosses along the way.
The game combines the elements of three different genres. The brick-breaking mechanics allow you to attack enemies and destroy obstacles, while the bullet hell elements require you to dodge enemy projectiles and stay alive. The roguelite elements add a layer of challenge and replayability, as each run is procedurally generated and you will lose all of your progress if you die.
One of the things that makes the game stand out is its focus on relics. Relics are powerful items that can give you various abilities and bonuses, such as increased damage, healing, or shields. However, relics can also have negative effects, such as making it more difficult to control your disks or attracting more enemies.
It also features unique events. As you explore the circles of Hell, you will encounter a variety of events that can either reward or hinder your ascent.
