God of War Ragnarok Photo Mode Will Come After Launch

God of War Ragnarok’s Photo Mode Will Come Post-Launch

God of War Ragnarok is one of the most anticipated titles in the gaming market today. Fans of the franchise have been eager to revisit the adventures of Kratos and Atreus. However, it has come to light that players will not have any access whatsoever to Photo Mode at launch.

“Photo Mode will be coming to God of War Ragnarok after launch,” Developer Santa Monica Studio revealed on social media. “We will share more details closer to when we plan to release it.”

These Photo Modes are an interesting way to really admire the details that devs brought into the game. Moreover, they are also an effective way of commemorating the highest points that God of War Ragnarok players were able to achieve during their epic journey. Unfortunately, this particular feature will not be available on launch day.

They also offer a suite of tools for God of War Ragnarok fans who are very much into photography. They can make use of different camera controls, lens adjustments, color filters, photography effects, depth of field presets, and colorful borders. Players can also have some fun with both Kratos and Atreus. There is an available option to even change their facial expressions.

Still, it is worth noting that such a delay is not entirely unprecedented. After all, the first installment in the franchise reboot also had the feature after launch. The game is already due for release for both PS4 and PS5 on November 9th.

Meanwhile, devs also shared a behind-the-scenes video that showcases the game’s enemies. “Each one looks so much different from the next one and each of them has their own play style,” said Senior Animator Kim Nguyen. “You will be very interested to see how Sony Santa Monica has taken some of these creatures and interpreted them within the game.”
