Back Attack!
Today, Final Fantasy VII celebrated its 25th anniversary. Square Enix held a stream showcasing their plans for the game’s legacy. Many announcements were made, but non-PlayStation players may find this the most interesting. Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade will be coming to PC. Not soon, but imminently!
For a few years, the Remake has been exclusive to PlayStation. The original was released on PS4 in April 2020, then Intergrade was released on PS5 in June 2021. Just over a year later, after PlayStation console exclusivity ran out, Square Enix has announced that it will be coming to Steam.
If you were expecting to pick it up in a week or two, you won’t even have to wait that long. The PC port of the game will be out tomorrow. That’s right. you will be able to buy, download, and play it starting tomorrow.
Square Enix announced other titles in the works, such as Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis, a Crisis Core remake, and the second installment to the Remake series, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. Rebirth will be the sequel to Remake. Following Rebirth, there is a third game, which has yet to be revealed or named.
This has been an exciting day for Final Fantasy fans, preluding an exciting year ahead. Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is available now for PS5 and will come out tomorrow for PC.
