Sooner Than Expected!
Daedalic Entertainment has finally announced the official release for The Lord of the Rings: Gollum game which is now set for September 1, 2022.
The Lord of the Rings: Gollum is a game that will allow players the chance to explore Middle-Earth before The Fellowship of the Ring’s time. Players will be on the run from the Sauron, the dark lord, while also hunting for the precious ring that was lost to Bilbo Baggins.
The game is promised to have familiar faces all around as well as a new system that will allow players to make important decisions, with every choice players can either side with Gollum or Smeagol. It will be a linear game with confined environments and will heavily focus on stealth and sneaking around.
The Lord of the Rings: Gollum was originally announced in 2019 and was set to release in 2021, later on, it was delayed to 2022. Interestingly, the game is based on the original Tolkien books instead of the Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Rings movies.
Daedalic Entertainment’s The Lord of the Rings: Gollum will be available on PS4 and PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S, on September 1, 2022. The game is also planned for the Nintendo Switch but with no official release date as of right now.
