Alongside the release date, the teaser trailer reveals some artwork of a few characters that will be the main focus of the game, including Captain Price, Ghost, and Gaz. The fantastic reveal used a maneuvered cargo ship with the artwork wrapped around it at the Port of Long Beach, California.

“Task Force 141 makes its massive return with a global squad of iconic veterans, these Operators include Captain John Price, Simon ‘Ghost’ Riley, John ‘Soap’ MacTavish, Kyle ‘Gaz’ Garrick, and introducing Mexican Special Forces Colonel Alejandro Vargas,” reads the description of the teaser trailer.

It is rumored that the new Modern Warfare 2 game will bring along with it a new Warzone map that will also be used for a new PvP and PvE mode that is similar to Battlefield 2042’s Hazard Zone.

The game is also rumored to have three editions, a Standard Edition, a Cross-Gen Bundle, and a Vault Bundle. Pre-ordering any of these editions guarantees a chance at playing an early beta, with rumors speculating that PlayStation players will have the first open beta exclusively.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is now releasing on October 28, 2022, on the Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and PC.
