Persona 4 Arena Ultimax Has an Opt-In Beta to Fix Crashing Problem
Persona 4 Arena Ultimax launched for PlayStation, Steam, and Nintendo Switch users on March 16th. Judging from its recent reviews on Steam, majority of its players seem to be having fun with it.
“The stakes are ultimate, the tension is maximum, the fight is the Ultimax!” ATLUS wrote on social media. “Persona 4 Arena Ultimax is now available on Steam, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch.”
The game is available on the Nintendo Switch eShop for £24.99. Plus, its Steam and PS4 versions will benefit from a rollback net code sometime this summer.
Sadly, however, the PC port of the game is not running smoothly for all players. Many Steam users have complained that the game tends to crash while during them matchmaking process.
Apparently, Persona 4 Arena Ultimax players are not able to search for lobbies to fight using the Player Match function. They have to invite friends or create their own lobby codes just so they could find matches. With that said, fans who want to join random matches have no choice but to join Ranked Match instead of the more casual Player Match.
Thankfully, Arc System Works and ATLUS came up with a solution to this problem. The devs created an opt-in beta for players to join. Players who join the beta will be able to use the Search Players function. This opens up more rooms for them to participate in.
Persona 4 Arena Ultimax fans were initially perplexed as to why devs implemented a beta function just to fix a bug. However, it seems to be working. The game no longer crashes when they search for a room. Plus, they have more lobby choices to choose from. Hopefully, devs fix this crashing issue for everyone, even for players who do not want to join the beta.
