Ashkickers
Last year, Nameless XIII and Dear Villagers released their post-apocalyptic survival game, where player choices matter. No, it was not a Fallout game. Ashwalkers is a little different. Most of the gameplay lies in the choice-making rather than RPG mechanics. There is also a distinct tonal difference in simply trying to survive.
Ashwalkers came out in April 2021 on PC. A little less than a year later, Nintendo Switch players will be able to take their Ashwalking on the go. With 34 different ending that players can reach, there is certainly reason to pick it up and explore in.
In Ashwalkers, players will be in control of “The Squad” and make decisions of how they approach different situations. They will be faced with moral dilemmas and have to weight risk and reward to survive. The Squad’s health will also have to be managed, both physically and mentally.
The PC version left something to be desired in our review. If you are looking for an action-packed adventure, you may want to look elsewhere. However, if you want a chill experience, where you are faced with interesting choices, you may want to check it out.
You can probably finish one of the 34 different endings in a relatively short time. On Nintendo Switch, commuting to and from work might be a great time to Ashwalk. Ashwalkers is available now on PC and will be coming to Nintendo Switch on March 10th.
