Remnant: From the Ashes Will Rise Again on Nintendo Switch

Dust Off the Ashes

Gunfire Games’ Remnant series is on the march forward. After the first game’s successful release on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox, Remnant 2 was announced at the Game Awards. However, Gunfire Games isn’t done yet with Remnant: From the Ashes.

Before long, this game will be available on Nintendo Switch. Earlier today, THQ Nordic, who acquired Gunfire Games in 2019, announced that the Nintendo Switch would be getting a port of Remnant: From the Ashes. Unfortunately for fans, there is no release date at the moment. The announcement was coupled with a short trailer of gameplay captured on Nintendo Switch.

Remnant: From The Ashes DLC

There are a couple of questions regarding some of the technical aspects. Question uno: Will the DLC be bundled with the base game? It’s safe to say that Nintendo Switch players won’t miss out on the two DLCs. Most Switch ports bundle the expansions with the base game after they have been released. However, the announcement does not explicitly confirm.

Question the second: Will the Switch port support crossplay? In 2021, Gunfire Games announced that crossplay would connect PC and Xbox players. Sony’s crossplay policy likely kept them out of the deal, but Nintendo is less stubborn about crossplay. Again, we will have to wait for more information regarding crossplay.

Remnant: From the Ashes is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. It will be on Nintendo Switch “soon”.
