World of Warcraft Fans Have Their Hopes Up for Microsoft’s Game Pass

World of Warcraft Can Possibly Move to Microsoft’s Game Pass

World of Warcraft fans are aware that their favorite MMO has had a challenging couple of years. Since Microsoft’s recent acquisition of Activision Blizzard, fans are hopeful that the giant, aging MMO gets added to the company’s growing Game Pass service.

Microsoft’s Game Pass now boasts of at least 25 million subscribers. Adding World of Warcraft to this service would bring an influx of new and retired players to the game. This is perhaps a feat that Blizzard Entertainment would be very much interested in at the moment.

The Game Pass service could be the answer the loyal World of Warcraft community is waiting for. MMOs can be a very expensive venture in the gaming world. Players will need to maintain a monthly subscription and consistently buy expansions if they want to keep adventuring with their friends.

World of Warcraft could potentially retake the MMO throne. That is, should Microsoft decide to add the game to Game Pass. They can get rid of both of these cost barriers.

WoW already has its own subscription model. Still, fans believe that it will be a wise decision for Xbox’s part to fold the franchise into its Game Pass or PC Game Pass. A main reason why game Pass has kept its success in the gaming world is that players get to play multiple games that they would otherwise never have picked up in the first place.

Players will no longer have to shell out $60 for a game that they may not like. They can just pay a monthly fee to have a wide plethora of games.  Plus, World of Warcraft fans would want to see their favorite game become playable on consoles. Activision Blizzard games are enjoyed on a variety of platforms,” the studio wrote in their statement. “We plan to continue to support those communities moving forward.”

Upon close, we will offer as many Activision Blizzard games as we can within Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass, both new titles and games from Activision Blizzard’s incredible catalog,” they added.
