Four New Dinosaur Species Are Coming to Jurassic World Evolution 2
Jurassic World Evolution 2 devs just announced that the game’s Early Cretaceous Pack will launch on December 9th. The DLC will be bringing forth four new dinosaur species to the franchise, namely, Minmi, Kronosaurus, Wuerhosaurus, and Dsungaripterus. Each of these new creatures will be featuring its own behaviors and personality.
Thankfully for Jurassic World Evolution 2 fans, Frontier Developments will be rolling out a series of videos over the next week. Each of these videos will be showcasing the new dinosaurs, starting off with the Kronosaurus.
The Kronosaurus is a marine-based species. It powers through the water with its strong limbs and devours prey with its elongated jaws. The Dsungaripterus is a small pterosaur that is easily identified with its head crest and upcurved jaw. The Minmi is a relatively tiny tank-like species. It has horizontally oriented bone plates running along the sides of its back. And, lastly, the Wuerhosaurus is known for sitting low to the ground as it feeds on vegetation and uses the spikes on its tail to defend against other species.
As Jurassic World Evolution 2 players progress within the game, they will be able to expand their parks with the four new prehistoric species.
In addition to the Jurassic World Evolution 2’s Early Cretaceous Pack, there will also be a free update that introduces new maps to the game’s Sandbox Mode. These new locales are Yosemite National Park, the Arizona desert, the Pennsylvania Airport, the Washington State mountains, and the forests of Oregon.
Players will also be able to access new building sets for their respective parks. These added sets will then let them build viewing platforms, lagoons, hotels, and restrooms.
Once the Early Cretaceous Pack launches, there will also be some quality of life changes. These include the option to begin Sandbox Mode with a completely flat piece of land—one without any trees in sight. This will allow players to cultivate the area however they want.
