Bungie’s Game2Give Fundraiser Returns

Gaming with a Purpose

Bungie returns for the third year in a row leading their Game2Give fundraiser. Thus, this year they are, once again, asking gamers to come together and host their own Destiny 2 stream to raise money for the Bungie Foundation.

In the past, the Bungie Foundation has raised over three-million dollars through different programs. For this reason, this year, they are looking to continue the tradition. In an announcement post, they describe the offered incentives to fundraisers. The incentives range from Destiny 2 emblems to physical items like mouse-pads, t-shirts and more.

“We invite the Bungie Community to join us in celebrating what we can accomplish together through games and giving,” said Bungie in the post.

Bungie, in their announcement post, shared their understanding of how the world has changed in the past two years. In fact, this has directly impacted the mission statement of the foundation which has been updated in the announcement. Bungie has shared their three new principles that they say reflects their values as a community focused organization.

Bungie said:

“We are a people-focused organization that builds and empowers our community to:
  • Improve the health and wellbeing of children.
  • Uplift the rights of all individuals and communities.
  • Provide aid in times of crisis.”

The Game2Give fundraiser runs from December 2nd to December 15th. For the duration of this time, Bungie has asked for members of the gaming community to “be a Light Keeper for those in need and join us today!”

Those looking to take action, and host a stream, can find the sign up here. Those looking to donate can do so here.

Both links can also be found on the announcement post made by Bungie.

The team at Bungie has also issued a “thank you” to all those who are looking to help out saying, “Thanks to all of you for everything you’ve done to support the charitable work of the Bungie Foundation.”
