Call of Duty: Vanguard’s Graphics Are Perfect For True To Life Photography
The Call of Duty franchise is incredibly popular and its initial releases took us through history, across various iconic battlefields. Since then, the franchise has taken us to the future and back, and Call of Duty: Vanguard is taking us to World War II, once again. The franchise’s meteoric success has not slowed and has sold over 400 million copies to date. As part of a new collaboration, war photojournalists will be utilizing Call of Duty: Vanguard’s graphics and renditions to craft true to life photographs that emulate World War II as it happened.
Renowned photojournalists Alex Potter and Sebastian Tomada Piccolmini are knowledgeable and experienced in the field of war photography, having covered numerous battles including those in the Middle East. The photojournalists were allowed to venture into Activision’s studio for an exclusive photoshoot.
Both photographers noted the game’s realism as Alex Potter stated, “These were situations that I would normally capture…” while Tomada Piccolmini noted, “I was impressed with how kinetic and immersive it all was…As photographers, this is what conflict looks like.”
Limited Edition Prints of in-game photography is available here from October 21st. All proceeds will be donated to the Call of Duty Endowment. Dan Goldenberg, Executive Director of Call of Duty Endowment, was happy for the collaboration, stating, “This special collaboration presents a great opportunity to continue raising awareness and honoring our veterans as we further our mission to help them find high-quality jobs.” The Call of Duty Endowment assists veterans in obtaining meaningful employment.
