The Outer Worlds Switch Port Releasing in June
Obsidian Entertainment and Private Division recently announced the official release date for The Outer Worlds Nintendo Switch port with several screenshots. The upcoming western RPG will be releasing for Nintendo’s popular hybrid console on June 5th and gamers can pre-purchase it now. This gives Nintendo fans only about a week more to wait after the Obsidian title was delayed due to COVID-19. The Outer Worlds is currently available for PS4, PC and the Xbox One, which includes the title through the Game Pass subscription service.
While the recently released screenshots of The Outer Worlds Nintendo Switch port have noticeably decreased graphical design to play on the hybrid console, the vibrant and quirky art style of the game remains intact. Obsidian Entertainment and Private Division released seven new screenshots from the Switch version to give fans who are pre-purchasing an idea of what to expect from the game. While we all knew the title was eventually coming out, pre-purchase wasn’t even available until recently, suggesting the teams wanted to know a specific shipping date before making it available for pre-purchase.
The Outer Worlds has received plenty of post-launch patches to fix bugs and make the interface more user friendly but the post-launch content hasn’t released yet. The game will be getting story DLC from Obsidian Entertainment soon but for now, the Nintendo Switch version will be the same base game that the other consoles already has but available on the go. We considered The Outer Worlds one of the prime RPG’s on this generation of consoles when it released for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
