A New Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Character is Getting Announced Tomorrow
Nintendo has officially announced that they’ll be revealing a new Super Smash Bros. Ultimate character tomorrow, January 16th. The new character will likely be kicking off a new Smash Pass considering the popularity of the latest installment in the Smash Bros. series. Zippo from Reset Era who has previously leaked Smash Bros. content claimed that the character will be closely linked with Nintendo. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is available exclusively on the Nintendo Switch now but Switch Online is required as well to take the fight to the strongest competition.
Current speculation is focusing on characters such as Sora from Kingdom Hearts, Dante from Devil May Cry, Doomguy from Doom and Byleth from Fire Emblem: Three Houses. We would like to see Captain Toad, Travis Touchdown or Phoenix Wright to name a few characters but regardless, it’ll be great to see which characters will be joining the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate roster in the second Smash Pass. According to Zippo, the next character is hardly on anyone’s radar and is related to Nintendo, but not directly.
“For those unfamiliar, he’s (Zippo) been verified to share some things on (Reset) Era and mentioned some smash teases today,” claimed Twitter user WabiSabi. “For those out of the loop, he’s been saying that the character is very related to Nintendo, but not directly, and corroborates that it’s been very under wraps and dangerous to share outright.” If these rumors are correct, the second Smash Pass could be more focused on familiar Nintendo faces rather than characters from various third-party titles.
Which characters do you want to see make it to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as part of the second Smash Pass? Which character do you not think will never make it to the game? Let us know in the comments below!
