Sheldon’s Picks are Coming to Splatoon 2
To celebrate the end of the Splatoon Koshien event during NicoNico Tokaigi, Nintendo has unveiled 10 Splatoon weapons that joined the arsenal towards the end of first game’s run will be added to Splatoon 2 as Sheldon’s Picks.
Sheldon’s Picks cover main Splatoon weapons that didn’t get a new version under the previously released Kensa collection of weapons in game.The 10 returning weapons are:
- Heavy Splatling Remix
- Sploosh-o-matic 7
- Fresh Squiffer
- Cherry H-3 Nozzlenose
- N-ZAP ‘83
- Soda Slosher
- Aerospray PG
- Bamboozler 14 Mk III
- Permanent Inkbrush
- Grim Range Blaster

The Japanese Twitter account has also mentioned that more content is planned beyond these weapons – but no other information was given at this time! Splatoon 2 has received loads of free content, as well as the paid Octo Expansion DLC, so it will be exciting to see what else is in store!
It was also announced today that there will be a special 1-week free play demo for Splatoon 2, from March 26th-April 1, 2019. This demo will give players a chance to try all included game modes. Demo players can be matched up with players on the full game (ie: Nintendo Online subscription players) and any progress and rankings made during the demo can be carried over to a full version of the game. With how much content has been included since the launch of the base game, this is a great time for new players to hop in!
I’m a huge fan of Splatoon, so I’m excited to see some more new life come to it after it sounded like we got our last big content update. What else could Nintendo have in store?
