Ranking 2015’s PS4 Exclusives from Worst to First

It’s been a great year PlayStation fans. 2015 has been good to PS4 owners and 2016 shows promise of being the best year yet with exclusives like Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, Street Fighter V, Detroit: Become Human, Horizon: Zero Dawn, The Last Guardian and more scheduled to take up console exclusivity on Sony’s juggernaut of a machine. Before we can look forward though, we can wrap up 2015 with a look at the best console exclusives in the PS4 line-up. We’ve included full exclusive, timed exclusive (as in you could only play this in 2015 on the PS4 if you’re a console gamer) and console exclusives as well for those of you who might start yelling about games being on the PC too. Now that we’ve cleared that up, let’s jump in!

17 – Godzilla

*** FULL REVIEW ***

The mighty Kaiju reduced to a borderline unplayable, wholly boring, and fully uninspired video game. Granted there haven’t been many great Godzilla games in the past but Bandai Namco and Natsume did their best to throw out an utter piece of garbage with this one. Clunky controls, outdated graphics and complete lack of enjoyable gameplay places the King of the Kaiju in the basement.

16 – The Order: 1886

*** FULL REVIEW ***

It truly pains me to have to put this game so far down the list. On a personal level, I quite enjoyed Ready at Dawn’s first attempt on the PS4 (as you can see from my review), but I am but a lonely row boat in an angry sea of upset gamers. Absolutely gorgeous in presentation, The Order: 1886 fell flat in story, length, inspiring gameplay and more. Quite possibly the single, biggest upset of 2015 it was almost universally crapped on. Still, at around $20 a copy these days, there are some folks coming around saying the price suits the game now.

15 – Broken Age

Double Fine’s point and click adventure game, Broken Age is only here because every other game from here on really is that good. Well received critically, this tale from Tim Schafer and co is smart, well-acted and visually stunning to take in. While it’s split up, 2-part version saw Act 2 get dumped on a little bit this complete version of the game is its ultimate form and worth every second of your time.

14 – MLB: The Show 2015

*** FULL REVIEW ***

Ok, so there isn’t much out there to actually compete with in terms of baseball video games on the market but rest assured that MLB: The Show sets the gold standard. Revered by many as ‘the best baseball game ever’,  it sits pretty with stunning graphics and a solid upgrade to its online play. The only thing holding The Show back is the lack of any impactful change from the last iteration.
