SoulQuest Launches on Nintendo Switch With Stylish Hack-And-Slash Action

Challenge the Goddess of Death in SoulQuest

SoulBlade Studio’s stylish action RPG SoulQuest has officially launched on Nintendo Switch, bringing its fast-paced side-scrolling combat to consoles for the first time. Published by indie.io, the game previously debuted on Steam in May and has maintained a Very Positive player rating.

Unlike traditional hack-and-slash games that focus only on survival, SoulQuest rewards players for fighting with style. Every battle is graded from F to SSS, encouraging creative combos instead of repetitive attacks. Players can chain light and heavy strikes into dozens of fluid combinations, while magic abilities and powerful ultimate attacks add even more ways to extend devastating combos. The controls are easy to learn, but mastering the combat system and earning the highest ranks becomes a real challenge, especially on the game’s toughest difficulty settings.

The story follows Alys, a warrior determined to bring her fallen husband, Gwydre, back to life after Cetonia’s destruction. Guided by the druid Abanus, she embarks on a dangerous journey across the British Isles to confront Morrigan, the Celtic goddess of death. Along the way, players battle legendary figures inspired by Celtic folklore and Arthurian mythology.

SoulQuest combines detailed pixel-art visuals with a medieval-inspired soundtrack to create a distinct fantasy atmosphere. The game is available now on Nintendo Switch for $19.99, with a limited-time 20% launch discount, and it remains available on Steam as well.

For fans of stylish action games, SoulQuest looks like a strong new addition to the Switch library.
