Honeycomb: The World Beyond Is Coming Out on PC and Consoles Next Month

Prepare to Set Foot on an Alien Planet in Honeycomb: The World Beyond

Sandbox survival game Honeycomb: The World Beyond is officially launching on September 8 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Developer Frozen Way Studio and publisher Snail Games USA have also confirmed that players can get an early taste of the game through a Steam demo arriving on August 31.

The game puts players in the role of Hennessy, a scientist exploring the mysterious planet Sota7 in search of discoveries that could ultimately help save Earth. The alien world offers a mix of peaceful forests, colorful jungles, open fields, and dangerous areas surrounding a mysterious volcano.

Survival is only part of the experience. Players will gather resources, study samples, and experiment with bioengineering to understand Sota7’s unique ecosystem. Using mechanics such as grafting and allogamy, players can create new plant and life forms, including hybrids that could have an impact far beyond the planet.

Exploration also goes hand in hand with building. Players can construct a modular base that serves as both a home and a research laboratory. The base can be customized and expanded to support scientific experiments, resource management, farming, and other survival needs.

Frozen Way Studio is also working with NVIDIA to bring advanced graphical features to the game, including RTXDI, DLSS 4.5 with Ray Reconstruction, Multi Frame Generation, and Reflex.

With its mix of exploration, survival, building, and science, Honeycomb: The World Beyond looks like an interesting adventure for players who enjoy more creative survival experiences.
