The Magical Quest of Molly the Marble Steam Beta Test Begins on 21st August

Molly the Marble Is Ready to Make Its Appearance

Players looking for a relaxing puzzle experience will soon get a chance to try The Magical Quest of Molly the Marble ahead of its release. Dapper Duck Software has announced a limited Steam beta running from August 21 to 23, 2026, focusing on accessibility and platform support.

The studio is inviting players to sign up for the beta, although participation will be limited. Those selected will receive additional details by email, while players who miss out will still have opportunities to hear about future playtests.

Molly The Marble

Rather than traditional levels, Molly the Marble places players inside miniature, diorama-style environments that they can tilt and manipulate to guide Molly through various challenges. The concept takes inspiration from building imaginary worlds with cardboard, craft materials, and whatever else might be around.

Accessibility is also a major part of the game’s development. Dapper Duck Software wants beta participants to help uncover gameplay barriers and test features that could make the experience more comfortable for a wider audience. The studio especially welcomes players with visual or auditory sensitivities, cognitive impairments, limited fine-motor control, or other accessibility needs. Players who use adaptive or alternative controllers can also provide valuable feedback.

“Accessibility works best when it shapes the design process from the beginning,” said Joel Gerber, Studio Director for Dapper Duck Software. “We want this beta test to help us find barriers we may have missed and make Molly the Marble more comfortable and enjoyable for as many players as possible.”

The test will cover Windows, Linux, and Steam Deck compatibility, while players can also experiment with gyroscopic controls through Steam Input. Overall, the beta looks like an important step toward making Molly the Marble as welcoming and relaxing as possible.
