Shujinkou Receives Steam Community Items Ahead of Major Update

Collect the Community Items for Shujinkou

Shujinkou has received a fresh batch of Steam community features, giving players more ways to celebrate the JRPG while expanding their Steam profiles. Developer Rice Games has officially added Steam Trading Cards, badges, emoticons, profile backgrounds, and a large collection of character avatars.

Players can now unlock and collect 15 Steam Trading Cards simply by playing Shujinkou on Steam. Each card showcases artwork inspired by the game’s world, characters, and distinctive visual style. Completing card sets also rewards players with Steam badges, while the update introduces 10 emoticons, 10 profile backgrounds, and more than 40 avatars based on characters from the game.

Alongside the new community items, Shujinkou has returned to sale on Steam, making it a great time for newcomers to jump into the adventure or for longtime fans to recommend it to friends.

Rice Games also shared details on what’s coming next. The upcoming v1.46 update will introduce working leaderboards, allowing players to compare minigame scores and other in-game statistics with players around the world. The studio hopes to launch the update before the current Steam sale ends.

Beyond game updates, Rice Games revealed that the Shujinkou trademark has officially reached registered status with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, marking an important milestone for the independent developer. The team also teased a major Shujinkou-related announcement that they are planning to reveal in the coming weeks, while confirming that Shujinkou 2 is currently in development. More details about the sequel will arrive later as well.

The Steam store page has also been refreshed to better showcase the game’s features for new players. With fresh community rewards, another update on the way, and more announcements around the corner, Shujinkou continues to build momentum for both new and returning fans.
