A Variety of Fun Activities Await in A Game About Penguins
Fans of cozy multiplayer games will soon have a new adventure to dive into. A Game About Penguins is officially launching for PC on August 10, 2026, bringing a relaxing sandbox experience where players can explore a frozen world as adorable penguins. Ahead of its full release, players can already try the free prologue, A Game About Penguins: First Catch, which has been available on Steam since July 22.
Developed by Turkish indie studio CO’s Entertainment and published by Ultimate Games S.A., the game supports solo play as well as online co-op for up to 12 players. Players can explore snowy landscapes, discover new locations, and enjoy a variety of activities ranging from fishing and ice skating to snowball fights, swimming, climbing, and even playing chess. The game also encourages social interactions, allowing friends to gather around campfires and spend time together in its charming icy world. Customization is another key feature, with players able to personalize their penguins using different outfits, hats, and accessories.
The free prologue offers a solid preview of the full experience by including the game’s core mechanics, several mini-games, online co-op, and customization features. Progression is limited to level 3, but the full release will expand the experience with additional NPCs, more items, and plenty of new content.
